About the Cobra OPTM X Arnold Palmer Limited Edition Driver Driver
The Cobra OPTM X Arnold Palmer Limited Edition Driver is a collector's piece that also happens to be one of Cobra's best-performing drivers. It takes the standard OPTM X platform — Cobra's flagship low-spin, low-handicap driver — and wraps it in a deep navy finish with gold umbrella accents honoring Arnold Palmer's iconic legacy. The sole features multiple umbrella logos alongside a reproduction of Palmer's actual signature, and the package comes with a matching barrel-style headcover.
Underneath the cosmetics, this is the same OPTM X that tested as one of the fastest drivers for high swing speeds. The forged face insert uses H.O.T. Face technology for improved face flex and ball speed, particularly on off-center hits. A descending weight system with two adjustable weights (11g and 3g) lets you position mass in the back for neutral flight or in the toe for a fade bias. Cobra's FutureFit33 system offers 33 unique loft and lie combinations through the adjustable hosel, giving you fine-grained control over launch and dispersion.
This is a limited production run that sold through quickly at most retailers. Performance-wise, it played best for golfers with swing speeds above 100 mph, where the low-spin design translated into real distance gains. Mid-speed swingers may find the spin too low for consistent carry.
